Living in Luton

Luton is a vibrant, multicultural town with a population of 170,000. It is situated 30 miles north of London. The town has strong rail, bus and air links to other parts of the United Kingdom. The town has an international airport, which is a major gateway to Europe and just a couple of miles from the city center.

The Mall Arndale, Luton
The Mall Arndale, Luton is a large shopping center adjacent to the University of Bedfordshire and within a 5-minute walking distance to the St. Christopher Iba Mar Diop College of Medicine Campus. The Mall hosts the Post Office and offers a number of stores to shop from and include famous names like Boots, Debenhams, Woolworths, NEXT, Mark & Spencers, Wilkinson, McDonalds, Burger King, Tesco and Farm Foods. Luton Central Library has a full range of services, facilities and activities. There are separate sections for children, teenagers, audio-visual items, adult lending and reference. Students can also rent DVDs and use their computer network on a time limited basis.
