Students & Health Services

Students at St. Christopher Iba Mar Diop College of Medicine are eligible for free health care at the Surgery, 39 Castle Street, Luton, Bedfordshire, LU1 3AG or any other NHS facility. These facilities are fully staffed and they provide a variety of services. Students must register at one of these facilities if they want to be eligible for free health care.
Important!
All students need to download the health form and complete it as soon as possible. Please ensure that copies of your immunization records are forwarded to the college as well. Students who do not comply with this announcement will not be allowed to train at clinics or hospitals. It is important that you complete this task as soon as possible.
Appointments can be booked with a General Practitioner at the Surgery, 39 Castle Street, Luton. Appointment times vary and emergency hours are available. Check with either health center for details.

There is a 24-hour answering service which will give you a telephone number to contact a doctor or deputizing service. Advice or a visit (in an emergency) can be obtained when the clinic is closed on 01582 729242. Please have a pen and paper handy to take down the number. Think! Can the problem wait until the next day?
